Mary grew up on a farm in Paulding County, graduated from Auglaize Brown Local High School and attended Northwest State Community College.

She has been active full time in the real estate business since 1978 and opened her own company in 1984. She is a member of the Northwest Ohio, Ohio and National Association of Realtors with emeritus status due to her long term of service. Over the years she has received many sales awards and designations.

She was also a past president, served on the board, was involved in bringing the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) to the local area and served on the arbitration and education committees as well as organizing the first reverse raffle for RPAC of the former Northwestern Ohio Board of Realtors.

In 1985, she started the Williams Metropolitan Housing Authority (a government rental program to assist low income families, veterans, elderly, disabled and handicap people in Williams County).

She has been locally involved in many community projects including 19 years as the secretary of the Bryan Regional Junior achievement Board, treasurer of the former Ronald McDonald House Boosters of Williams County, Past president of the Bryan Area Business Women’s Club, Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce, Big Brother/Big Sister Organization, Girl Scouts and more.

Mary is also an avid collector of majolica, attending several majolica auctions and is a member of the International Majolica Society with an article and pictures published in their newsletters.

A widow with a son in Knightdale, North Carolina; a daughter in Willow , Alaska; and another daughter in Bryan, Ohio, a grandson that moved from Alaska to Bryan and a grandson in the Marian/Columbus area and 4 great granddaughters, she enjoys traveling to see her family.
